In this session, we will present essential components to consider when building and sustaining distance education programs. In discussing how our college's online nursing programs were developed, we will assert that high quality online programs require attention to both system-wide as well as minute details (i.e., forest and the trees). We will also present a set of evidence-based criteria that can be used to guide the success of these programs for learners, courses, and the program.


Linda Foley

Dr. Foley’s is the director of the MSN online nursing program at NMC. The MSN program began in 2000 as a face-to face program and then transformed into an online program in 2003.

Eric Kyle
