Teaching in a distance hybrid, format places unique demands on institutions and core faculty. The Higher Learning Commission identifies specific standards related to the quality of distance education. Consideration must be given to ensure the roles of teaching team members (adjunct and special faculty, lab and teaching assistants) are clearly identified and appropriate processes are in place to support the unique communication, orientation, on-going training, and evaluation needs of the academic team.
